Alice Harrison
Yoga Teacher
For the past 20 years, yoga has been a regular practice for Alice, something that she sees as an essential part of her wellbeing. She has participated in trainings in Anusara, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Hatha yoga in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Bali, Thailand and Canada. She has studied in person with international teachers such as Jason Crandell, Amy Ippoliti, Kathryn Budig, Patrick Beach, Stephanie Snyder, Tara Brach, Noah Maze, Marc Holzman, Benita Wolfe and Bridget Kramer Woods, & Sally Kempton. She completed her teacher training with the Celtic School of Yoga in the Burren, in the West of Ireland. She also completed a 60 hr qualification in women’s and prenatal yoga with Lou Horgan. Alice is a trained Cacao facilitator, has completed meditation training with Buddhist teacher Tara Brach and currently studies with Rigpa Centre. In June 2022, Alice co-founded The Yoga Picnic. Alice also trained in ballet and dance for over two decades and created Shakti Dance – the dance of the divine feminine- an embodiment experience moving from flow into free movement and ecstatic dance.

She teaches yoga classes for all levels, weaving Ireland’s spiritual heritage with yogic traditions and philosophies. Her background in Vinyasa and Anusara yoga, her focus on ancient yogic philosophies (in particular those originating from the foothills of the Himalayas), Celtic mythology, Irish folklore and poetry allow Alice to offer a unique teaching style. She feels drawn to create a sacred space for people to feel a sense of belonging as well as a connection with their own innate truth. She is particularly drawn to creating sacred spaces for women. She has the privilege of running ‘Yoga at Uisneach’ events to celebrate the Celtic cross-quarter festivals at the sacred Hill of Uisneach.
Alice is from Galway and is a mother, award-winning author, lawyer, historian and lover of cold water swims with pals.
